Kyrgyzstan’s most visited tourist Issyk-Kul district is hit by mudflows, Turmush reports.
Mudflows started at about noon on September 20 in the town of Cholpon-Ata and the village of Baktuu-Dolonotuu.
Yards and roads are flooded.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the operational group of the regional emergency management department and representatives of the civil defense commission are on the ground.
5 excavators, a motor pump and a sewer truck are involved into clearing.
