In August 2023, the overall inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan was 5.5% compared to December 2021. This data is provided by the National Statistics Committee.
It is noted that Kyrgyzstan ranked second in inflation among the EAEU countries. This was affected by the maximum increase in prices for non-food products – by 8.2%.
At the same time, among the EAEU countries, Kazakhstan took first place in terms of inflation (6.6%). This was influenced by rising prices for food products (by 5.9%) and services provided to the population (7.7%).
In Russia, overall inflation was 3.7%, and in Belarus – 2.9%. The only country where there was no increase in prices in the EAEU compared to December 2021 was Armenia.
