Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg on the sidelines of the EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting in Luxembourg on October 23.

The Foreign Ministers discussed current issues and promising areas of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In particular, issues of possible organization of mutual visits at the top and high levels were considered, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.

Following the meeting, the Foreign Ministers agreed to hold consultations on mountain issues within the UN and consider the possibility of intensifying joint work in this direction.

Minister Kulubaev invited his Austrian counterpart to visit Kyrgyzstan in order to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
