The 5th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)is being held at the Ala-Archa state residence on December 7.
The event is attended by Minister of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan Nuriya Kutnaeva, deputy ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Secretary General of the OTS Kubanychbek Omuraliev and the Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Minister of Digital Development Nuriya Kutnaeva.
The Minister of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan provided information about the country’s achievements in digital transformation.
The level of broadband penetration in Kyrgyzstan increased from 19% in 2019 to 31% in 2023. 98% of settlements in Kyrgyzstan are covered by the 4G.
The exchange of data between 300 information systems of government agencies and private companies amounts to more than 1 billion transactions on the digital platform “Tunduk”.
The country has introduced digital documents, including a driver’s license, ID card, and vehicle registration certificate. All government agencies have switched to electronic document management.
The Minister also proposed using digital documents for the participating states of the OTS as an initiative for future development.
