An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale struck China, while strong tremors were felt in Kyrgyzstan, during the early hours of Monday.
In China, the tremors were felt at 5.49 am (local time), according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The agency said the earthquake struck 111 km SE of Aral.
In a similar phenomenon, an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale jolted Kyrgyzstan today.
The National Center for Seismology stated that the tremors were felt at 5.19 am, 10 km from the capital city of Bishkek.
There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake tremors in both the countries.
This comes less than 24 hours after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Pakistan on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department suggested the quake’s depth was 150 km with the epicentre being in Tajikistan.
There was no loss of life due to the earthquake.
The tremor was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other areas of the country.
On January 24, one person was killed, while dozens of houses were damaged after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake jolted the remote mountainous districts in Western Nepal.
The earthquake, with epicentre in the Mela area of Bajura district in Sudurpaschim province, hit the region at 2.43 pm local time, said Lok Bijaya Adhikari, head of the Earthquake Measurement and Research Centre.
It was also felt in some parts of India.
