The Tajikistani authorities are perpetuating systemic discrimination and severe human rights violations against the Pamiri minority, according to new research by Amnesty International. The Chinese and US defence ministers held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on Friday, the first in-person meeting between ministers since 2022. For nine months of 2023, Kyrgyzstan exported 9.9 tons of gold worth $619.7 million. The data provided by the National Statistical Committee says. In just a month, the figure increased by 1.2 tons.
