The statement appeared a day after the attack on a Russian airport 700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country had developed a weapon capable of hitting targets at a distance of 700 kilometers, which is likely a reference to the strike on an airport in western Russia the day before.

Without going into details, Zelenskiy said on his Telegram channel that the weapon was produced by the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industry.

On Wednesday, a wave of drones hit an airport near Russia’s border with Estonia and Latvia.

According to reports from the field, four Il-76 military transport aircraft were damaged. Russia blamed the strike on Ukraine.

The airport is located in the Pskov region, about 700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
