The matter of funding the air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries will be discussed at the meeting of the heads of the CIS countries’ governments, said Sergey Lebedev, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, reports Sputnik Belarus.
A meeting of the permanent representatives in the statutory bodies of the CIS is taking place today in Belarusian capital Minsk, at the headquarters of the CIS, during which the agenda of the next meeting—in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan—of the Council of Heads of Governments of the CIS member countries will also be discussed.
“Today it will be necessary to form the main backbone of the agenda,” said Lebedev.
A number of matters have already been partially formed.
To note, Armenia also is a member in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
