International projects of the Russian Ministry of Education – Russian Teacher Abroad and Power of the Mind – will be continued in the new academic year in Kyrgyzstan.
120 teachers will work in 51 schools of Kyrgyzstan under Russian Teacher Abroad Project, the Ministry of Education said.
“The Power of Mind Project will continue also, where Russian teachers will offer additional classes in advanced study of physics and mathematics. The student exchange program is continuing, when children from Kyrgyzstan go to the Interdom International School in Ivanovo for 3-month training program,” Russian Deputy Minister of Education Denis Gribov said at the meeting with Minister of Education Kanybek Imanaliev.
Cooperation between two countries is not limited with school education only. Russia and Kyrgyzstan plan development of cooperation in secondary professional education, which will allow to train a new generation of professionals for Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister Gribov said.
Minister Kanynek Imanaliev said 9 Kyrgyz-Russian schools will be built in Kyrgyzstan, 3 of them in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol.
He drew attention to the fact the system of education of the country is being renewed fast. This is dictated by growing needs of population of Kyrgyzstan, he said.
“43 new schools were opened on September 1 in Kyrgyzstan. 50% of teachers received in-service training,” Minister Imanaliev said.
