Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have good relations at all levels, but it is necessary to look for new points of contact. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Speaker of the Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev, BelTA informs.
“We have very good relations on all lines. Both at the level of presidents and at the level of the government. You say, we will contribute in every possible way to Kyrgyzstan not being some country in a corner and on the sidelines. This is a very active, very advanced nation. I know the Kyrgyz very well – they are very smart people. Therefore, we will find new common points of contact. We will work with you in this direction, if you are interested in it,” said the Belarusian leader.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $160.2 million (an increase of almost 65% compared to 2021). Belarus exports meat and dairy products, woodworking products, tractors, cars and other machinery, medicines, insulated wires and cables.
