According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the export of quarantined products in 2023 increased by 33.8%, reaching 851,499 tons, compared to the previous year’s 635,281 tons.
However, it is worth noting that the overall volume of exports in January-November 2023 saw a significant reduction in potato shipments, by 27.7%.
Uzbekistan emerged as the primary consumer of potatoes, receiving over 85% of the shipments.
Potato exports in dollar equivalent decreased by 43.5%, amounting to $5.2 million.
Average potato prices dropped by 22%, reaching $154.5 per ton.
The maximum price for potatoes in the Kyrgyzstan market in 2023 was 0.51 euros per kilogram.
