These training sessions took place in the framework of the “Strengthening National Capacities for Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding: Meaningful Civil Society Engagement for Trust-Building and Social Cohesion” Project of UNESCO and UNDP. From August to September 2024, Kyrgyzstan hosted a series of training sessions focused on enhancing media and information literacy and developing conflict-sensitive communication skills for over 75 participants, including representatives from public advisory councils, civil society, and local media. ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s Prosecutor General Berik Assylov reported the recovery of assets totaling 262 billion tenge (US$548 million), including $205 million from abroad, during his presentation to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Sept. 19, reported Akorda. Property and shares in enterprises worth 82 billion tenge (US$171 million) were transferred to the asset management company. On the night of October 19-20, a military transport aircraft Il-76MD of the Russian Aerospace Forces caught fire at a military airfield in Ayni, 10 km west of Dushanbe. As of today, around 600,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are engaged in labor migration, said First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration Nurdoolot Bazarbaev at the Mekendeshter-2023 forum. Vladimir Putin has been blasted for war failures in Ukraine by a notorious former Russian colonel who has called for a full scale combat. The SBU reported suspicions to the former head of the Yelenovskaya colony, who was involved in the torture of more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers.
